Roo's Story

Roo Roo was an abandoned cat living a hard life on the streets.  Luckily for him a caring neighbourhood resident, Phil kept an eye out for him and started to feed him regularly and he gradually gained Roos' trust.  He liked to lounge on the front porch and sit with Phil.  One day he came back with an injury to the back of his ear and Phil

Roo Roo was an abandoned cat living a hard life on the streets.  Luckily for him a caring neighbourhood resident, Phil kept an eye out for him and started to feed him regularly and he gradually gained Roos' trust.  He liked to lounge on the front porch and sit with Phil.  One day he came back with an injury to the back of his ear and Phil knew he needed to find help for Roo.

Sissy responded to Phils' request for help on FB for much needed vet care.  Roo Roo recieved medical treatment and tested positive for FIV.  He went into foster care with Sissy, and flourished with TLC, and readily took to the indoor life.  But  he wasn’t out of the woods.  Shortly thereafter Roo also suffered urinary blockage.  After being successfully treated for the blockage, Phil took over foster care.

What happened to Roo ? Well he is with Phil and his wife Peggy and is living the good life – just what we hope for for all abandoned and stray cats.

Roo's life is a true inspiration and from his story Roo Roo Cat Rescue evolved.
